Air conditioning systems should be checked annually but it is rarely done despite all A/C systems losing between approximately 10% – 15% of refrigerant per year.

At SRC Automotive, we are able to offer air conditioning services in Liverpool for both R134A & the newer R1324YF.
R134A Recharge & Service from £66 (£66 upto 600grams of refrigerant , then £10 extra per 100grams) generally for vehicles registered before 1st January 2017.
R1234YF Recharge & Service from £130 (£130 upto 600grams of refrigerant , then £15 extra per 100grams) generally for vehicles registered after 1st January 2017.

What does our Air Conditioning Service Include at SRC Automotive?
- Check pressures & vent temperatures prior to servicing.
- Visual inspection of system using a sight glass to check for any water, debris and quality of existing A/C oil/refrigerant.
- Interior controls check.
- System belts, fans & compressor clutch operation check.
- Cabin air filter condition check.
- Anti-bacterial deodoriser treatment.
- Existing refrigerant recovered from system.
- Vacuum A/C system to remove all refrigerant, oil & moisture.
- Regas A/C system with refrigerant to vehicle specific levels.
- Correct quantity of PAG oil with leak detection dye added.
Did you know that leaking refrigerant is harmful to the environment?
If a vehicle is presented to us with no refrigerant evident, under current UK law we cannot legally (or ethically) replenish the system with refrigerant & we must test for leaks.
Air Conditioning Leak Detection & Fault Finding
SRC Automotive offers air conditioning fault diagnosis, leak detection and repair to our customers.
Fault diagnostics & repair costs £75 inc VAT per hour.
Leak detection costs £36 inc VAT for 30mins of testing using a variety of methods inc UV Dye, Oxygen Free Nitrogen and Locktrace gas testing & inspection.
Further costing will be required if panels, bumpers or dashboards need to be removed.
